Worship by the Candlelight
Our Church family is made up of many people who have left home to follow their career or their mission halfway around the world. In order to be in Korea together, all of us left behind family, friends and familiar life. We are blessed to be "family away from family" for each other and this is an aspect of our ministry and Church that we LOVE. We hope to be a welcoming face and arms for those displaced from normalcy and to be like "family" as we walk side by side in discipleship, in the Gospel and in a foreign country.
This makes special services like our Christmas eve candlelight service that much more meaningful. We gathered as a Church family to anticipate and celebrate our Savior's birth. We mixed scripture and song to tease out the full depth of the Christmas story and as the of the flame of the Christ candle filled the room, the glow warmed our hearts and refreshed our spirits. We may come from many different backgrounds, States, Countries, families, hurts or joys but we come together in unity through Christ!
What a blessing it was to love our Redeemer together as one big family at our Candlelight Christmas Eve service and also each Sunday throughout the year!
This Church -Songtan Central Baptist Church - is the primary reason we came out to Korea and continues to be a huge aspect of our ministry focus here! Whether families are joining us for a few months or a few years, we love to journey together and see growth together.
